Ben is a British Surfing Association certified coach, and has been teaching surfing to complete beginners to more advanced levels for over 10 years. He has extensive experience as a Senior RNLI Beach Lifeguard on the local Cornish beaches as well as being a Lifeguard Instructor and examiner.
Surfing is Therapy is located in the basement of The Headland Hotel, accessed from the main car park, down the flight of stairs to the left of the front door.

Group surfing lessons:
An introduction to surfing as part of a small group. Lesson includes beach safety, regular/goofy stances, how to paddle for waves, trim position and standing and riding waves. We guarantee to get you standing! Duration 2-2.5 hours, price £30 per person.
Private surfing lesson:
A private lesson is the best & fastest way to improve your surfing, whether you are a complete beginner looking to grasp the basics or have been surfing for some time and are looking to improve your skills. With exclusive use of your own coach the lesson is tailored to your needs. Duration 2-2.5 hours, price 1 person = £80, 2 people = £50 per person, 3 people or more = £40 per person
Body Board Sessions:
Discover how to perform maneuvers such as spins and trimming across waves with correct body positioning and weight distribution. Duration 2 hours, price from £25 per person.
Rock Pool Rambles:
Discover the creatures and sea-life living on Fistral and amongst its rock pools! Duration 1.5 hours, price £15 per person, £40 for a family of four.
Junior Baywatch:
Learn about beach safety, lifeguard signals, rip currents, how to spot dangerous conditions on the beach and lifeguard rescue techniques. Duration 1 .5 hours, price £15 per person.
Fistral Beach Extreme Survival:
Not for the faint hearted! What could you eat if you were ship wrecked without food? Learn how to survive on what is living on the beach from limpets to seaweed and other essential skills such as how to gut a fish and fire building. Food tasting if you are brave enough! Duration 2-2.5 hours, price £25 per person.
Coasteering:
Coasteering is Cornwall's newest and most exciting adventure activity. Explore the rocky cliffs at sea level, caving, sea swimming with local marine life and even cliff jumps if you so desire! Led by qualified instructors. Duration 2.5 hours, price £50 per person.
